ALLPOWER HISTORY
“Allpower started in 1977 in a small warehouse in Burwood, Victoria under the name ‘Ariens Echo’. The name came from the original outdoor power equipment brand, Echo.
With two equipment suppliers and only five product lines, Ariens Echo took pride in keeping a promise to supply high quality garden power equipment and after 30 years in business, this hasn’t changed.
Allpower Industries, the name we all recognise today, was adopted in the early 80’s after the purchase of a Queensland distribution company – Allpower Machinery. In 1988 the company now known as Allpower Industries made the move from Burwood to Box Hill. With substantially more warehouse space, it was here that the company really began to grow.
With a new name and a new address, Allpower continued to maintain its dedication to quality outdoor power equipment. In 1990 not long after the move, the successful lawnmower manufacturer SupaSwift joined Allpower Industries, and is a major brand today.
Come 1993 world-famous Stiga joined Allpower’s brands, with their extensive range of lawn maintenance tools. Over the next ten years the company manufactured within Australia and imported the best products from overseas.
Allpower looked to expand its zero-turn ride-on range in 2008, and secured the distributorship of Country Clipper for Australia and New Zealand. It was at the end of that year that Allpower changed hands to its present ownership. Only a year later Allpower won the award for being the largest Country Clipper dealer in the world.
In October 2009, Shindaiwa & Echo merged operations worldwide. The new parent company Yamabiko Corporation then appointed distributors for both brands in all major markets worldwide. Allpower was selected as the most appropriate distributor for the Australasian market.
Today Allpower has five premium brands with over 400 dealers Australia-wide, plus a 150-strong dealer network across New Zealand.
After 22 successful years at the Box Hill warehouse, Allpower has now moved to a new state of the art warehouse in Keysborough, Victoria where there is plenty of space to develop and grow.
After 30 years Allpower Industries and their staff are proud to be offering high quality outdoor power equipment brands with industry leading warranties and service support.
The dedicated Allpower Team is now offering customers the opportunity to buy online with the same guaranteed high quality products such as ECHO and Shindaiwa with industry leading back up and service.”
